Aforementioned Dew Shrine

Filed under: THOUGHTS — zaiss @ 5:32 pm

Jason took pity on my appeal to Vince for the Wall of Dew pictures, so he made them available to me. Here are the shots (including one that catches me as a blonde… oh my…). Click to enlarge the shots.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this horrid display of caffeine indulgence. Yet another reminder why it’s a good idea to kick caffeine.

  1. Sweet! All of my pics were lost to an old hard-drive explosion. Ah, memories…

  2. omg….that’s insane, but not unbelievable given that you throw down 1 or 2 bottles of mountain dew a day?

  3. I just learned from Jason’s blog that he’s found the video. Do you remember, Vince? Eric? Phil? Sitting beneath the monstrosity and pulling out the bottom layer?

The only thing more serene than stacking Dew cans that high is letting them rain down on top of you. And then running back and forth through the huge pile of cans with an obnoxious din filling the floor that I lived on at the time. Now that’s a memory.

  4. DEWD!! I love Mountain Dew and was just wondering if that was just one “row” of Dew cans or if there was more behind it? I collect Dew cans and so far have around 800… I LOVE IT!!

Hey um… do you still have your cans?

  5. The cans are long gone actually… we recycled them all for a grand total of $20 (I think?) and had a nice dinner at Applebees for the cost.

The Dew Wall was 2 cans deep by ~100 across by ~24 high. Plus we added a shelf to put random stuff on (since it was February when the wall was done. So yeah… lots of cans. When they came down, it was quite a crash.
