Birthday Plans
I’ve mentioned to some that I’m going to Finland for my birthday this year to attend the Mobile HCI conference. I’m scoping out the social events today, and apparently there’s an interesting one on my birthday:
That’s right! It’s cell phone throwing, and the world record is held by Finland (or, rather, one of its citizens). What a fun birthday present to myself to break the world record! (Yeah, right.)
Go Zach! Show those Finns how to really throw a cell phone.
U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!

If I get the World Record, I am totally writing to the Colbert Report. He better wave a flag for me.

I agree with Eric. Go for it. Start practicing now - there have got to be millions of old cell phones laying around. Does it have to be a certain size? I can imagine a small Razor would have more loft…

Do you get extra points if you nail a zombie in the head?

Of course. Because the real world is just like every zombie movie you’ve ever seen. Every single one.
